Description

When it comes to an introduction to regional Jewish history, the Jewish Museum of Maryland is the destination of choice, a facility that includes two synagogues (B'nai Israel and Lloyd Street) and a museum dedicated to fostering education and understanding of Jewish life in this northern state. On show from the permament collection is a selection of old photographs, historic documents, period clothing, art, memorabilia and other assorted artifacts from Maryland's early Jewish population. Changing exhibits explore themes like Jewish identy, Israel, and World War II in a variety of mediums. Check the events calendar for more information.
